This program specifically concentrates on Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Small Wind Technology (50 kW/h and smaller). This program can be taken as a full-time, part-time or even a high school student. High school students can take courses for dual credit as long as their school supports the program.

All courses are online with certain courses having a one Saturday “boot camp” that is highly recommend. The boot camps have state-of the art equipment and labs that are real-world systems for hands-on training. However, if a student is unable to attend, an alternative assignment will be given.

Graduates of this program will be prepared to take the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Entry Level Exam for Solar PV. For more information about the program visit Colby’s Sustainable/Renewable Energy program page.
